Dupont State Forest Collection
Dupont State Forest is located in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, just across the border from upstate South Carolina. Known for its incredible waterfalls and the setting for many famous movies (i.e., The Hunger Games), you'll want to spend at least a few days exploring the area.
The trails are lined with rhododendron, mountain laurel, and an almost out of place sandy soil. The must-do trails are known for an east coast rarity: SLICK ROCK! Riding the loop on Big Rock & Cedar Rock trail evokes feelings similar to what you'd find in the Utah desert.
