2% for the Trails: Giving Back to the Places We Ride
Cognative started in a small corner of a garage in 2017 with one goal — to create high-quality mountain bike apparel that gives back to the trails that inspire us.
Since then, every ride, every purchase, and every story shared has helped us donate over $100,000 to trail organizations across the country.
How It Works
Through our 2% for the Trails initiative, we donate 2% from every sale to trail building, maintenance, and advocacy efforts on public lands.
That means every jersey, flannel, shorts, or tee you purchase directly supports the places you love to ride.
Where the Support Goes
Our heart is in Western North Carolina, home to some of the most beautiful (and rugged) riding in the country in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest.
But our impact stretches far beyond. We’re proud to support trail clubs, nonprofits, and advocacy groups across the U.S. that share our vision for sustainable, accessible trails for all riders.
