Trails Need Support
Public land trails don’t maintain themselves.
They rely on local organizations, volunteers, and consistent funding to stay open, safe, and rideable.
Without that support, access disappears—and so do the places we ride.
That’s why we commit a portion of every sale to the people and organizations doing the work on the ground.
2% For The Trails: Giving Back To The Places We Ride
2% For The Trails is Cognative’s commitment to reinvest 2% from every sale into trail building, maintenance, and advocacy efforts on public lands. That means every jersey, flannel, shorts, or tee you purchase directly supports the places you love to ride.
Since 2018, that commitment has resulted in over $108,000 donated to trail clubs, nonprofits and advocacy groups across the U.S. that share our vision for sustainable, accessible trails for all riders.
National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA)
Cognative supports the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and regional leagues, helping expand access to youth mountain biking programs.
Friends of Dupont Forest
Friends of DuPont Forest helps protect and maintain DuPont State Recreational Forest through trail work, conservation, education, and volunteer programs. Cognative MTB supports this work through its 2% For The Trails program, helping fund the stewardship that keeps DuPont’s trails open, sustainable, and ready to ride.
Pisgah Area SORBA
Pisgah Area SORBA builds, maintains, and advocates for trails in Pisgah National Forest, right here in our backyard. They help keep some of the Southeast’s most iconic singletrack accessible and rideable. Cognative is responsible for 800+ volunteer trail work hours led in Pisgah National Forest with Pisgah Area SORBA since 2018.
